Joyen is the face of some of the hottest alternative lifestyles in Manila. She is the Philippines first and only openly-practicing rope bondage dominatrix and is a pioneer of burlesque in the country - Manila's bad girl of burlesque, the wicked bitch of the East.

Co-founding both Kink PH and Burlesque PH, this black unicorn has also performed at and produced such groundbreaking events such as Manila’s first ever Kink Karnival and the critically-acclaimed “Ang Pagdidiwata ni Maria Clara”, a collaboration with Hataw, a Toronto-based contemporary folk dance troupe, as part of the multi-arts celebration, Fringe Manila Festival 2017 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

Joyen also broke new ground in May 2017 at the 5th Annual Asian Burlesque Extravaganza at the Highline Ballroom in New York City, being both the first homegrown performer from the Philippines and first artist who will perform a rope bondage suspension and burlesque fusion act.

Burlesque PH proudly presents a burlesque workshop series featuring the most-wanted primas in the country - Lucky Rapscallion, JOYEN, and The Star Ore, with tantalizing teaser classes by Gypsy Whip and Firechill. Learn the fundamentals of the art of tease in these exclusive, dance-based, one-time-only workshops that will give your crush a run for his/her money.

All sizes, shapes, colors, orientations, ages (18+), and experience levels are welcome. No prior dance experience is required.

Attire: Comfortable, fitted clothing for movement. Dancing heels encouraged, but not required. Please bring your own water.
